Hot Dog

Babysitting can be fun while playing a game on your mobile. But be careful!

On 24th May I teamed up with Alessandra Beluffi to be part of a 24 hours long film competition.
We had 24 hours to deliver a short movie, between 3 and 8 minutes. The theme of the competition was: “Working relationship”.

There was another hard rule: a dialogue between characters had to be in it.
We definitely wanted to create an animated short, but the theme and the new rule were a bit hard for us.
The result after the 24 hours wasn’t very exciting.

After a few months, I’m happy to say that now Hot Dog has been finished, with a brand new soundtrack, new sound effects, new scenes and, more importantly, a new edit.

I wanted to give homage to The Killing, by Stanley Kubrick. We’ve spread across the short film some identical shots, nicely drawn by Alessandra Beluffi, and a few other clues. Can you see all of them?
